Welcome to the artistic parade of sustainable mobility!

A unique project combining art, infrastructure, and sustainable mobility has been created on the border between Nova Gorica and Gorizia. International artists have transformed the main traffic artery between the two cities with original urban paintings on walls and floors – footpaths, cycle paths, crossings and roundabouts, walls – encouraging residents to walk and cycle for short distances. 

Mobility that connects: with colours, ideas and bikes.

Special artistic interventions have also come to life on GO2GO bikes. Nomago art bikes are available at all city bike stations in Nova Gorica. You can even cross the border with them!

The main event of our ARTCYCLE POP UP project took place at the border on Saturday, September 20, 2025. We walked, danced, pedaled, and together created a space where colors on the road connected the community. Together, we transformed the border into a hub of green paths and creative socializing with art in motion, offering a rich program of art and cooking workshops, music concerts, guided bike tours, street games, a discussion about a book on cycling, live graffiti creation, outdoor exercise, and much more.

We invite you to take a ride or a walk on your own or rented bike along the newly created ARTCYCLE ART CYCLING AND WALKING TRAILS! Nine road paintings and graffiti artworks are accessible on the map.

The project partners are KUD Manifest (Slovenia, lead partner) and Kallipolis (Italy).
